Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born into a music-loving family. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, old boleros in addition to traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana has a passion for the opera and tango genres as well as the various forms of dramatic performing. Her mother taught her to sing, and she began more intensive vocal training by Flavio Belcerra in the age of 16 when Belcerra was an internationally renowned Mexican opera Tenor. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterward with the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was a member of many opera chamber and choruses. In 2000 she moved into America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she relocated to her present home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with classical Latin American music at private performances. As a musician and teacher, she is committed to various community-based projects because of her passion and love for music. Ana has been an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as and The Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for the opportunity to share her love and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of for younger generations for keeping this vibrant music alive.Viva Mexico!
